The security industry has been rapidly absorbing technological innovations in hardware, software, and telecommunication, mobile and wireless applications. The group has recognized that for any participant to stay ahead in the race, understanding and absorbing these developments in technology is a must.

The following initiatives have been undertaken to take advantage of the synergy in business domain knowledge and technology:

• Front office - The Company has customized front office software which has the unique feature of providing trading through BSE, NSE and derivatives on a single screen. Software called ORION has been successfully integrated with the stock exchange feeds.

• Middle Office - Real time risk management system authenticates each order for adequacy of margins before submitting the same to the stock exchange trading engine.

• Back Office - The front office and middle office are integrated to the back office for maintenance of accounts, transaction records, billing etc. Software called Workhorse is used for this purpose.

• Depository system - The middle office and back office are linked to the Central Depository Services by way of software called Entrust. The company has achieved straight through processing (STP) by integrating this software with other systems.

• Banking linkages - Investors can transfer money to the company by use of Internet medium. The company has tied up with five private banks for ebanking services.

• Online trading system - Investmentz.com -- This site provides a complete online system for trading, money transfers and depository services. Back office reports are also available through the site. This is one of the few sites that provide complete STP to the investor.

• Establishment of in house network to have common database, mail server and access to Internet.

• Private network - Company has its own private network of ISDN lines, lease lines and VSATs in order to provide various services at investor's doorstep.

• Branch Depository Facility is provided to the investors in the regional centers by way of VSAT linkages between the branches and CDSL.
